All domain requests are treated as applications and manually reviewed by the registry.

Priority rights: If you currently own a .com.sb, .org.sb, .edu.sb domain name, the matching .sb domain is automatically reserved for you only until your existing domain expires. You must request registration of the new matching .sb domain before the expiration period to keep it.

Here's an example: You own: . It expires 4/18/2016. You must then request mydomain.sb before 4/18/2016 to be able to keep it. Initial registration will be treated as a renewal. If the domain expires, it will be available to the public, first-come first-serve. In the case of multiple previous registrants of the same string, preference is given to the one who registered first.
